This was a random shot I took at my little photo shoot with my parents and sister a while back. I didn't realize how much I liked it until I saw it on the computer. I didn't do anything with it, this is the rough photo. I think it's one of the best I've made.
I didn't really know what category to put it in, but I think that windmills, the Dutch ones, like here, are monuments. I haven't seen them anywhere else in the world and Holland is famous for them.
My town has several windmills and one of them is still used to make bread. This windmill is not in use anymore.
I really don't know what the canons are for. I do know that my town was very important in the 15th and 16th century (probably when the mill was built) for transportation. the river it's on is a straight connection from Germany to Rotterdam. The river still has a lot of boats as form of transportation.
